FILM MAKING

PREP Write about the film making that you have done over the last two weeks. Add photos to support and illustrate your post.

For our Production logos we took a picture of the red beret and red gloves we used in our trailer. using a hue camera that we plugged into the mac book. Then in Imovie we added the production company name 'Indigo Studios'. for our second production company, we used the hue camera again and we used stop motion animation, we used a toy car and took pictures of it slowly moving around a piece of paper that said ‘speed media’ and on Imovie we added the sound of a car swerving around a corner.

Four our table top filming, we set out various items such as passports and newspapers of missing people and we moved the camera around the table focusing on some images, and we had some live movements in it such as opening the case we had revealing more passports and money, and at the end we had a candle and we blew it out and focused on the smoke.

for our live action filming we were outside of a door with barred windows with the lights off where the camera was and the lights on behind the door. at first we see both characters through reach window of the doors, and then the camera focuses in on the ‘lady in red’ and the camera zooms out again to see only one person standing and then the lady in red moves across the windows and steps over the body. later there is another clip of the lady in red following a lady in a cape.

We edited sounds of a car swerving around a corner, and we edited that in, via Imovie. the song ‘we’ll meet again’ is playing throughout the whole of the intro. at the end the title of lady on red appears on the screen, we called it that because the killer is known for her red beret and her red gloves. we added actors name onto the intro.

overall i think that the production went well, and it was fun to find out how to use everything, and experiment with different type of filming.

  1. 10/10 Congratulation to all in Indigo Studios and Speed Media on an excellent film opening! You made two production company logos in stop frame animation, filmed and edited a tabletop sequence followed by a live-action sequence, then added titles and sound. Altogether a dramatic, powerful and visually memorable piece. The sound track "We'll meet again" was particularly effective and haunting. I loved the framing of the two characters through the double cut-out door windows.
